REC watches use salvaged and recycled parts from iconic vehicles that are beyond repair. A concept they named recover, recycle, reclaim thus inspiring the name REC. Christian Felix Mygh and Jonathan Kampstrup founded REC in 2014. In 2015, Christian and Jonathan presented the REC Watches on the Danish Shark Tank. Four out of the five investors loved the idea. Chris and John put their heart and souls into these collections. They are always striving to hit a perfect blend of distinctive designs, subtle references, handmade premium components and truly unique storytelling!
Due to the variations of patina in the recycled dials, all of their watches are unique. All of the watches have their own story to tell. We feature design references to the car from which it was partly made.
The P-51 Collection is recycled from a salvaged classic Ford Mustang. This is Rec watches first mechanical collection. Studio Divine designed the p-51 watch. The 901 collection has more than 50 years of history in one watch. The subtle references to the design of the 911 is a way of paying tribute to the sports car. We cut the dial from a salvaged, Porsche 911. This means every single watch is visibly unique and born with a story.
